Abstract
A protein functional imaging in terms of their surface hydrophobicity distribution is presented. Atom level hydrophobicities, obtained from amino acid hydrophobicities, are used to compute approximately equivalent hydrophobicity density distributions around each surface atom, in a standardized octagonal framework. Surface atom neighborhoods are classified in terms of their resemblance or based on a vector description.
