Abstract
Based on an analysis of three phases of remote sensing images (1996, 2000 and 2005), we found the eco-environment changes of the northern wetland reserve area of Yellow River Delta during the three years. The distance from the Yellow River and soil salinity are important factors to control the macro-distribution of wetland types in the estuary wetland reserve area. Both of the natural factors (such as Yellow River zero flow) and human activities (such as Yellow River water and sediment regulation project, wetland restoration projects, reed field development and the construction of a large number of farms) had big influence on the distribution of wetland types in the estuary wetland reserve area.
