  • Abstract
Due to the fast changing observed workload characteristics in communication systems, development of self-reconfiguration methods has become more important during the last decades. These allow a self adaptation and automatic parameter adjustment of the system configuration during the processing time without the need of any external administration effort. In this paper we present a new reconfiguration method for web caches based on the closed loop control concept and the class based least recently used (C-LRU) caching algorithm. By using simulations we show that this new proposed method is able to adapt itself providing very good system performance results.
