Abstract
Aiming to solve the inefficiency problem of the time advance when HLA-based distributed simulation is applied to large-scale hardware-in-the-loop real-time simulation, we propose a conservative time management model with optimized parallelism (OPCTMM) to boost the overall running efficiency. In order to implement the OPCTMM, a weakest conservative time management model (WCTMM) with minimum constraints is established, firstly. Based on WCTMM, an optimized time advance strategy (OTAS) is implemented. Finally, a further optimization method is presented to decrease the network bandwidth overhead. As shown in experimental results and practical applications, the OPCTMM proposed in this paper gives distinguished performance improvement on distributed simulation, if being compared with the standard HLA-based conservative time management (TM) model.
