Abstract :
This paper studies delay-dependent stability criteria and H∞ filter design for a neutral system with mixed time-varying delays. Based on Lyapunov functional approach and linear matrix inequality technology, a new delay-dependent stability condition is derived, and this new criterion is applied to design a suitable H∞ filter of the Luenberger observer type. Since the criteria take into account the sizes and derivatives of the neutral delay, discrete delay respectively, they are less conservative than those produced by previous approaches. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.
