Abstract :
A generalized predictive control (GPC) law with a disturbance observer for induction motor is presented. The controlled auto-regressive moving average (CARIMA) model for induction motor drive system was established based on the analysis of the dynamic equation, and the load torque is considered as an unknown disturbance and it is estimated by a nonlinear observer. By combination of the direct torque control system, the GPC algorithm was applied to configure the torque reference. The stability of the whole system can be achieved by simple design parameters. The simulations show satisfactory performance of the proposed controller for speed tracking, and speed response and the disturbance rejection are successfully achieved.
