Abstract :
Pulmonary characteristics differ in patients, and the suitable setting of ventilation condition is needed for every patient in the artificial respiration. The pulmonary elastance is one of the important features of lung, and it is a basis for deciding the air-way pressure limit value. In this study, an estimation method for pulmonary elastance is proposed based on functional type SIRMs fuzzy reasoning, and represent a static P-V curve needed for the parameter setting of the respirator. Furthermore, this paper presents a choice of the fuzzy variables influencing to estimation results, and the effectiveness of the suggested technique is illustrated by an estimation example using real patient data.
