Abstract :
This paper is concerned with the quantized consensus problem in noisy sensor networks. Using the probabilistic quantization strategy, the quantized consensus is measured by the total relative deviations (TRD) of the sensor data, and an upper bound is given for estimating the range of the TRD. By imposing a constraint on the upper bound, an optimization for minimizing the power consumption is constructed to solve the optimal quantization length. Illustrative examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed theoretical results.
