Abstract :
This paper concerns the problem of fault estimation for neutral systems with time-varying delay using observer. In fact, compared with the constant delay systems, time-varying delay systems are more common. Based on the fault estimation for neutral delay systems, the paper applies a fault estimation algorithm to neutral systems with time-varying delay based on observer, which can improve the performance of fault estimation. Secondly, the paper also provides a delay-dependent criterion, it is very important especially for small delay systems. Thirdly, the paper describes the calculation steps in detail that use of linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique. Finally, in order to verify the efficiency, the paper presents several simulation results which are obtained by using Simulink tool.
