  • Abstract
    The observer-based active control for offshore steel jacket structure subject to wave-induced force is considered. Using Lyapunov theory, a sufficient condition for stabilization of the offshore platform system is given in the term of linear matrix inequality (LMI). The feedback controller and the observer gains can be obtained from the LMI formulations. A numerical simulation is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller.
