Abstract
This paper presents a methodology to develop a Fault Diagnosis Integrated System in a Thermoelectric Generation Plant (TGP). The proposed methodology is based on three methods: Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT), Fuzzy Logic and Artificial Neural Network (ANN). The test electric system was built in BPA´s ATP/EMTP software, conformably to the needs presented by a Thermoelectric Generation Plant (TGP) of 711 MW-230 kV, located in southern Brazil. Simulated test cases demonstrate the generalization capability of the protection system developed, now used in a Southern Brazilian Utility.
