Abstract :
This paper describes the experience of designing and building a remote laboratory at North China University of Technology. In the paper, all-purpose real-time control telelab - a web-based educational laboratory, is presented, which gathered manifold experimental installations for control engineering in the university, providing a centralized and configurable web-based GUI for students. Data exchange software is developed to collect the real-time data from field devices and provide the data to foreground webpages. The paper also presents a rapid implementation method to carry out real-time control and realize complicated control algorithms. A demo experiment using telelab is demonstrated.
