Objective: To provide favorable reference for improvement of social support, application of positive coping style and job burnout battle for prison police through investigation and analysis of job burnout, social support and coping style state in prison police. Method: MBIHSS (Maslach Burnout Inventory Human Services Survey), SSRS (Social Support Rating Scale) and CSQ (Coping Style Questionnaire) were filled out by 850 prison policemen from Sichuan Provincial Jinjiang Prison, Wumaping Prison and Leshan Prison. Result: average score in each dimension of job burnout obtained by prison police is arranged from high to low as personnel accomplishment >; emotional exhaustion >; depersonalization; average figure in each dimension is higher than 3 scores, showing that job burnout does exist but not severe. Furthermore, prison police scored 45.399 in social support, with 21.884 in positive coping style and 11.959 in passive coping style respectively, which reveals that social support and coping style are in good condition. Conclusion: prison police showed a moderate level of emotional exhaustion, low level of depersonalization and high level of personal accomplishment; social support and coping style are in order; positive coping style is helpful to fight job burnout, while negative coping style will make job burnout serious, without any impact on personal accomplishment.
