Abstract :
A new method to measure the muzzle velocity based on the shadow photograph system with three laser pulses was suggested in this paper. When the moving object flying in the field of view of the photograph system, the laser source sparks three times to illuminate it and the three shadow images of it will be captured by the orthogonal CCD cameras. By the image process the velocities can be obtained and the muzzle velocity can be inferred finally. Experiment results show that this muzzle velocity measurement method avoids the interference by the false objects absolutely and has great ability in anti- electromagnetic interference.
