Abstract :
The purpose of academic review is to provide a mechanism for insuring qualitative standards of academic research. The quality of research results can only be evaluated by peer review. With the development of information technology, online academic exchange makes the peer review more diversified and efficient. Therefore, it is important to analysis the Chinese scholars´ cognition of information-based academic review methods. In this paper, 1292 Chinese researchers are investigated to get a survey of their cognition of different academic review methods. These methods are classified according to the phase the academic review taking place. Moreover, the investigation contains a five-level ratings scale, from weak to very strong, which is used to rate the attitude of Chinese scholars to different review methods. The investigation data is analyzed using SPSS, and the Biglan mode is used to classify the academic background of all scholars. The reliability test shows that the questionnaire data are reliable. Investigating results shows that most scholars hold a positive attitude to peer review before publication. Furthermore, science scholars prefer peer review more than social scholars, and young scholars prefer peer review more than older scholars. The more academic exchange they participant, the more attention to academic review they pay.
