Abstract :
We demonstrate transmission performance improvement by pulsewidth management using a wide pulsewidth-tunable SOA-based waveform converter. Inline management at intermediate is advantageous over at terminals, and optimal position is offset to link-midpoint with 4.0dB sensitivity improvement.
