Abstract :
Multi-channel photonic frequency upconversion utilizing the four-wave mixing effect in a semiconductor optical amplifier was experimentally demonstrated. Generation of eight-channel error-free optical radio frequency signals was achieved with power penalties less than 2.7 dB.
