  • Abstract
    We demonstrate switchable XNOR/XOR gates employing predominant cross gain modulation in two semiconductor optical amplifiers at 40 Gbit/s. The output logic signals with high extinction ratios and clear open eyes are obtained. The scheme may be a promising solution for the future ultrafast signal processing applications.
