Abstract :
Investigation on fuzzy granulation method for interval numbers is of great importance. This paper aims to propose some methods of granulating interval numbers. Although there exit a few methods, some of them still have imperfections in granulating process or granulation results. In this paper, after re-examining and improving these exiting methods, we propose a new granulation method based on total order of interval numbers. Experiments and comparisons are given based on the constructing data and the real-life data. The granulation results show that the methods proposed in this paper are applicable.
