Abstract :
As situation assessment in the warfare involves abundant, uncertain and redundant information, this paper presents a model for situation assessment based on rough set. It is the most advantage of the new model that the efficiency of situation assessment is increased. First, a new algorithm of value reduction is put forward and proved to be correct which is based on attribute-value-tree; Furthermore, a model for situation assessment of decision making based on rough sets is established to simplify the given informational system and find decision-making rules. Finally, a case of attacking the enemy in the war is studied through the model so that decision making rules are deduced, and the proper attacking conditions are obtained.
