Abstract :
The paper represents a step toward modeling of design knowledge reuse, with emphasis on design process knowledge management with product life-cycle consideration. Product design process involves product Whole-Life-Cycle. A design process knowledge reuse framework is proposed, which consists of four levels, namely, knowledge retrieval-query layer, process-task layer, knowledge representation layer, and shared layer. A prototype process-based product design knowledge reuse system for the cement paving machine product design is developed.
