Abstract :
In this paper, a modular approach for carrier generation dedicated to interleaved converters is presented. These analog triangular carriers reach, in few hundreds of microseconds, a perfect shift in phase using an original self-alignment method. This property is obtained whatever the number of the converter carriers more than or equal to three. Main interest of this approach is to perform a masterless system which doesn´t use a central dedicated circuit. Because the modules are placed in a daisy-chain configuration, this method offers the ability to reconfigure very easily the number of carriers. An implementation of these carrier generators is made in a integrated circuit and demonstrates the validity of the proposed method.
