Abstract :
Contactless power supply systems are of high interest in all small power and large power applications. Many high efficiency systems use the resonant operation mode. A parallel compensation system is presented enlarging overall system safety and allowing for resonant system parameter change while maintaining ZCS operation. Simulation and experimental results are given allowing for system justification and resonant parameter change influence and compensation capabilities are presented. Systems performance allows for large parameter drift and increases the overall efficiency in case of large parameter variation. An increase of 3, 5% was measured in the case of investigated prototype.
