  • Abstract
    Active power filter (APF) with one-cycle control includes bipolar operation and unipolar operation. Aiming at the DC components existing in APF with one-cycle control under bipolar operation, APF controller under unipolar operation is designed. According to the process of moving on and off switch in this paper, APF with resistance and inductance load under unipolar operation is simulated by PSCAD/EMTDC. Simulation results show that the proposed control method can eliminate the harmonic and reactive current effectively. It has good compensation effect for harmonic and reactive current generated by nonlinear load. This control method provides theoretical and experimental guide for the application of APF.
