Abstract :
An eigenvector transformation based DOA estimation algorithm is proposed to cope with the under-estimation issue of classic esprit DOA estimation algorithm while detecting the coherent sources. This algorithm offers a precise estimation of coherent source by combining the toeplitz matrix and eigenvector transformation criterion. The correlation between signals is greatly reduced in the way of reconstruction of data covariance matrix by Toeplitz matrix. DOA estimation can be accurately completed via the new eigenvector transformation criterion while the source number is defined. The new algorithm has a better resolution and accuracy. The simulation proves its satisfactory effectiveness and feasibility.
