Abstract
In MGIS (Mining geographic information system), tunnel modeling is of vital importance. To solve the “crack” problems in the process of handling the tunnel crossing, this paper develops a robust algorithm based on wireframe models. This algorithm gets detailed information of the crossing areas of tunnel through an accurate calculation for the intersecting location in the tunnel, and ultimately draws tunnel model at a higher accuracy, efficiently eliminating the “crack” artifacts due to Boolean operations.
