Abstract :
This book is about the experiences of the author in the area of microwave circuit design. The eight chapters progress logically from transmission line basics to active circuits with quadrature coupling or balanced operation. The first chapter begins with the basic equations of voltages and currents propagating on a transmission line. The second chapter is a tour of modes, focusing on coupled lines. The third chapter is about S-parameters. The book contains many jewels of understanding, and the discussion of internal versus external stability is very helpful. The next two chapters focus on circuit analysis and element modeling. These two chapters explain the fundamentals of modern computer analysis and the The final two chapters of the book cover active two ports and circuits coupled by hybrid networks.
