Abstract :
This paper studies on a real time model of a virtual gear shifting test bench in terms of virtual development of manual gear shifting. This test bench gives engineers the real time feeling of how much influencing to the comfort of gear shifting while changing the design. This real time model is a complete transmission system consisting of gear shifting connecting rods and detail gear box model. How the main design parameters will influence the comfort of gear shifting will be simulated in this real time simulation environment. This model is a simplified one to reduce the calculation cycle time in order to fit the operational cycle time in the DSPACE real time platform.
