Abstract :
Making processing the fairing made of zirconium diboride composite material cost too much by old method. A new and advanced processing technology is introduced in this paper, by which we improve processing efficiency effectively and reduce the processing cost greatly. The advanced processing is designed by a different way, cutting most machining allowance of the fairing by WEDM instead of grinding by CNC machining center. The best path of cutting residual surface fairing by WEDM is design by an Ayam for veket called UG 6.0. And lots of experiments be made to grope a group of most reasonable WEDM cutting parameters. At last, a whole and mature processing the fairing made of zirconium diboride composite material is accomplished, by which process time only be one third of the traditional one and the cost decrease too, about one fifth of former one.
