Abstract :
There´s not a lot of room in integrally-shrouded impeller channels with a ring and the curved shape is complex. In order to solve the problem of NC milling, combined with surface structure characteristics of integrally-shrouded impeller with a ring and channel machining process characteristics, we will do a technology research for the processing of tool path planning of impeller channel based on UG CAM module. Set different tool axial controlling methods for different processing parts, taking blade back processing as an example to analyze tool planning method, putting forward to confirm tool axial motion security space with the method of surface offsetting, confirming the processing area with tangent method, confirming tool axial angle range with boundary curve relationship. We have verified the results of tool path planning with the help of five-axis linkage machine, and the results prove the feasibility and rationality.
