Abstract :
This paper presents an design procedure of square baler, a CAD model is built in Solidworks environment. In order to prevent large deformation and stress due to resonance from breaking working parts, modal analysis is carried out with finite element method by utilizing simulation plug-in unit integrated within Solidworks, a study of preliminary model based on a type of hydraulic high-density baler shows that frequency ranges between 70Hz to 90Hz is likely cause great vibrating with mode shape of high mass participation ration in specific direction, which is observed in practical running. The design is improved by altering the dimensional size for different types of balers, and then the configuration is applied with one CAD model document. This study contributes to further optimization in square baler design by using computer aided engineering applications.
