Abstract :
In order to meet the requirement of modern highway development, and establish reasonable and effective technology platform for allocating maintenance funds, an intelligent decision system for highway maintenance based on geographic information system(GIS) was developed. In the system, the database technology was combined with GIS spatial management technology to realize the treatment and display of spatial data and attribute data, after treating the road index data into the required type of localized HDM4 model, analyze and predict the major, medium and mini repair schemes and the allocation of the maintenance funds. The system provides a relatively practical guidance for the application of GIS applied to highway maintenance intelligent decision system and decision basis for the administrators of highway construction.
