Abstract :
In this paper the process to build the torque measurement system on the basis of magneto-elasticity is elaborated; the principle that "the relationship between torque and magnetic flux density is linearly proportional" is summarized; a new method for torque measurement based on the linearly proportional relationship between torque and magnetic flux density is raised, in which the teslameter with GMR effect is applied to measure the magnetic flux density, and then the torque can be calculated; the SPSS software is used for data analysis, and both the repeatability of experiment data and the linearity of torque measurement are less than 0.1%, so the system requirement on the measurement error is met, and the new method is verified to be feasible; and finally the key technical indexes of the torque measurement system are summarized: the measuring range is 0~100 N-m, and the error index of linearity and repeatability is respectively 0.1%.
