Abstract :
The integral values of stress based on FEM to distance based on Euler angle on the UHMWPE acetabular cup for standard gait was obtained, and the Archard wear equation was applied to evaluate wear resistance of the a series points on the surface of the UHMWPE acetabular cup. The result shows that the deepest wear point depends on both the loading and the relative moving tracks. In the special condition, each point on the surface of the acetabular is acquired and the wear depth is no more than 0.3 mm after a million paces.
