Abstract :
Based on traffic data of many freeways, the heavy trucks´ effect on average speed, traffic congestion degree, and traffic safety was analyzed. Such countermeasures as variable lane, driver´s training, and variable pricing were put forward to improve freeway´s traffic safety.
