Abstract
The author designs a volcano smoke planar ultra-wide band antenna, which is composed of the planar volcano smoke antenna and the resistance loop circuit. The lower cut-off frequency of the antenna bandwidth is studied. The return loss (S11) of the input port of the antenna is measured. The research finds that the lower cut-off frequency of antenna with and without resistance loop circuits is 0.5GHz and 0.8GHz, respectively. The results show the resistance loop circuit can expand the bandwidth of the antenna toward the lower frequency direction.
