Abstract :
Based on the feature of video image scanning every other line, this paper will design a convolver which can process real-time video signals on the basis of ALTERA´s QUARTERS II software and Cyclone´s FPGA. Such a convolver can make full use of the advantages of FPGA, for example the flexibility that make it possible to set the inner logical configuration based on the requirements of applications. The structure of our convolver is very simple because it only employs a 3×3 window facing the processing of video images. In addition, this paper also gives some attentions in the convolver designation. Experiment has shown that our convolver effects very well when processing video signals.
