Abstract :
A detailed dynamic study on Synchronous Generators Excitation Systems at Embedded Generation is presented. Through the SIMULINK ambient, several simulations were made and their performances are discussed regarding to System X/R relation changes, Short-Circuit Level, Fault Clearance Time and Voltage Profile. Studied Excitation Systems costs were considered also at the technical evaluation. Results show that Static Excitation Systems, as far as being a possible application, has preference on other considered types.
