Abstract :
As one of the representatives of Chinese-Tibetan language families, Tibetan dialects´ tone is always the debating focus in academic field. This paper has taken three main dialects as research subjects: Lhasa dialect, Yushu dialect and Xiahe dialect, made acoustical analysis for their monosyllabic tones through methods of experimental phonetics, built the model for vocal range and compared these tree types of tones´ differences. On the one hand, it offers a basis for research on origin and development of Tibetan tone; on the other hand, it provides quantitative study data for Tibetan speech synthesis and speech recognition.
