Foreword by the Editor [EM Programmer´s Notebook]

This issue´s column addresses the design and analysis of conformal antenna arrays. This continues to be a subject of active interest, and we have previously carried material on this topic, in the August 2010 and October 2011 columns (by a different group). The present paper describes a MATLAB simulation tool, and provides the ability to use computed or measured element patterns. It also offers some beamforming capabilities. The application of the tool to a satellite navigation system provides an illustration of its use. We thank the authors for their contribution.
