Analysis of the management and evaluation of city house type design

Housing is a fundamental issue for national lives. House types are the basic unit of urban residence and the design of the house affects the quality of life. However, the previous research tends to identify performance only on the basis of design experience. The management and evaluation of house type design should deep on the basic need of resident´s living which was composed by various activities. So, a systematic study of living behavior and its relationship between house types need be discussed for the house type design. According to spatial combination theory, the paper simplifies the house type design flow into the selection and combination of various behavior units, and takes it as the basis for the management and evaluation. Finally, based on the analysis of design flow of city house type and applied the value engineering theory, the paper put forward a evaluation method to estimate the house type design.
