Abstract :
Mass customization has turned out to be a crucial style of modern manufacturing for meeting customers´ individual and diversifiable demands, in which forecasting a production cycle plays an important role due to being a basis of order signing and production organizing for enterprises. Currently, literature employs general methodology such as time series and combination forecast, which may result in low accuracy of prediction and not adaptation to customized needs. This study focuses on products stipulated in orders, dealing with components of production cycle in general modules of production-predicting, and in designing, making, and assembly of product special modules. On this basis, the study establishes a model of manufacturing cycle estimation and makes an empirical analysis of Xi´an XD Switchgear Electrical Co.
