Abstract
Little attention is given to the regional human diversities and data verification in the light truck cab design and verification applying Manikin. In this paper the relevant theories and methods of Ergonomics and somatic data in GB10000-88 were adopted, combined with the light truck of an automobile company in the Southwest Area of China. First, the somatic data in the southwest area were studied taking the influence of wearing shoes into account. Then, southwest three-dimensional manikin in the UG / KF platform using somatic data was established, and thus put the manikin into a light truck cab for cab design and verification. Besides, the model of regional manikin is provided considering that the manikin could be adapted to the regional workspace design.
