Abstract :
The construction and development of Chinese Eco-City are closely related to the support of industrial development. Generally, it is considered that the highly industrial agglomeration helps to coordinate the relations between urban economy and urban environmental development. In order to verify this view, an index CR4 measuring the manufacturing industrial agglomeration was brought forward in this paper. The comprehensive CR4 index and the comprehensive index measuring the Eco-City construction level were established by using principal component analysis (PCA) method. Then the relations between manufacturing industrial agglomeration and Eco-City construction were illustrated with the quantitative method. The positive effect of manufacturing industrial agglomeration on the Eco-City construction was clarified, which further perfected the Eco-City construction theory and tried to propose a new perspective for the study of Eco-City system construction. Finally, the execution of sustainable development strategy for Chinese Eco-City was promoted by pushing forward the rational industrial agglomeration in provincial areas.
