Abstract
Integration of statistical process control (SPC) and engineering process control (EPC) is found widely recognition in reducing process variability. The focus in this work is providing a method for detecting spike signals in an industrial process under the feedback control scheme using Cuscore chart. First, relevant works and the Cuscore statistic are introduced, then the appropriate Cuscore statistic that can be used to identify spike signals hidden in an integrated control scheme is derived. And finally, the effectiveness of the Cuscore statistic to detect spike signals is illustrated by simulations.
