Abstract
HR project management has been an important and exciting topic in both academic research and practical conduct. The Human Resource Management areas identified by the Six Sigma approach are frequently appearing as topics in the management literature. This paper presents a typical example in which Six Sigma methodology DMAIC is applied in a Motorola Supply Chain HR project on 3rd party contractor hiring. The project not only achieves its set goal of reducing new hire cycle time, but also demonstrates the strengths and simplicity of DMAIC.
