Abstract :
In this paper we present a statistical analysis of EMC testing carried out in an anechoic chamber (AC). The uncertainties we consider here are related to the limited number of realizations, both in terms of polarization and illumination direction. The underlying purpose is to highlight that even if the anechoic chamber is intrinsically a deterministic mean of testing, the experimental test in AC remains a random process as in a mode-stirred reverberation chamber (RC). The final version of the paper will compare the uncertainty levels caused by the sampling process, for standards immunity tests performed in AC and in RC.
