Abstract :
In this paper we propose a new horizontal handover oscillation control algorithm for Long Term Evolution (LTE) Self-Optimizing based Networks (SON). Based on a pre-established policy, this algorithm automatically adjusts the Hysteresis and Time-To-Trigger (TTT) based on Ping-Pong Handover Performance Indicator (HPI). Additionally, the User Equipment (UE) type of traffic and speed is taken into account for a more accurate handover decision. Results show clear improvements when compared with other proposals, namely the fixed parameter scenario.
