Abstract
In this paper the problem of modelling and control of a bioprocess is approached. Those tasks were performed using the multi-model and predictive control approaches. Modelling formalism like MLD (mixed logical dynamical systems) was used to describe the hybrid feature of multiple linear models. Model predictive control, which is a technique used for automatic control of the processes under operating constraints was used in this paper. Finally, some simulation results were presented, in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed modelling and control algorithms.
