Abstract :
To investigate the effect of posture change on autonomic nervous system, 7 healthy subjects´ simultaneous ECG and PPG during the Orthostatic Test were acquired. Based on the frequency domain analysis of HRV, as well as the time domain analysis of PWTT, the effect of posture change on autonomic nervous system was studied. A tendency increase features the LF of HRV and PWTT, and a tendency decrease features the HF of HRV in the Orthostatic Test. The results suggested that from supine to standing position there is significant increase in sympathetic tone and decrease in parasympathetic. PWTT may reflect the modulation function of autonomic nervous system.
